Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, 1st T20I at Khulna

Bangladesh will kick start their preparations for the ICC World T20 in India with the first of four Twenty20 internationals at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna. The match will be played on Friday, January 15.
These two sides met in November last year in Bangladesh for a limited overs series. They played three ODIs and a couple of T20 internationals. Both sides had success in the T20s with Bangladesh winning the first match in Dhaka and Zimbabwe winning the second T20 in the second T20s.

Malcolm Waller had a memorable time on that particular tour with his innings in the second T20 inspiring his team’s success. Waller has been picked for the tour starting on Friday and will look to impress once more.
Zimbabwe lost to Afghanistan in their last T20 series earlier this month in the UAE. They proved no match for the Afghans in two high-scoring games at Sharjah.
Vusi Sibanda and Brian Vitori return to the fold for Zimbabwe as they look forward to the ICC World T20 in India. The side will be led by regular skipper Elton Chigumbura with usual suspects Chamu Chibhabha, Graeme Cremer, Hamilton Masakadza, Sikandar Raza, and Sean Williams making the final squad.
The hosts will be led by Mashrafe Mortaza and their bowling attack will also have youngster Mustafizur Rahman who had an outstanding year in 2015. Al-Amin Hossain, who had a decent time in the Bangladesh Premier League, has also been picked for the series.
The batting will be fronted by Tamin Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar. Youngster Litton Das misses out but usual suspects Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mahmadullah make the squad. Bangladesh have forged a fearsome reputation at home in the past year and they will be looking to protect it at the start of the current year.
The two sides have met on five previous occasions with Bangladesh winning three of those matches.
